The Airbus A400M is a tactical transport aircraft developed by the European company Airbus Military (now Airbus Defence and Space). The A400M-180 version is a particular variant of this aircraft. The aircraft has a wingspan of 42.4 metres and a length of 45.1 metres. It can carry up to 37 tonnes of cargo, including vehicles, military equipment, pallets and other material, and can also carry up to 116 fully equipped soldiers or 66 stretchers with medical personnel. With a maximum payload, it has a range of approximately 3,300 nautical miles (approximately 6,100 kilometres). The A400M-180 is used for tactical and strategic transport of troops, cargo and materiel and can be used for logistics missions, humanitarian relief, search and rescue operations, aerial refuelling and other purposes. Major users include countries such as France, Germany, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom and others.
