UH-1B Iroquois
The UH-1B Iroquois, also known as the "Huey", is a utility helicopter that was first introduced by Bell Helicopter in 1960 for military use. It is a variant of the UH-1 Huey series of helicopters, which became famous for its use during the Vietnam War. The UH-1B has several improvements over the original UH-1, such as increased payload capacity, improved engines and a larger fuel tank. It can carry up to 11 passengers or 6 stretcher-bearers. It is equipped with armament such as machine guns and rocket launchers, and can be used as a support helicopter for attacks on ground targets. The UH-1B became a symbol of American helicopter aviation during the Vietnam War and continues to serve in many militaries around the world as an important means of transport and support in a variety of situations.
