Curtiss C-46 Commando
The Curtiss C-46 is a twin-engine transport aircraft that was used by the U.S. Army and several other countries during World War II and the post-war period. It was developed by the Curtiss-Wright Corporation and first flew in 1940. The C-46 had a cargo capacity of up to 50 passengers or 15,000 pounds (6,800 kg) of cargo. It was equipped with two Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engines and reached speeds of up to 375 km/h (375 mph).
