Comac C919
C919 is a narrow-body transport aircraft developed by Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC). It is designed to compete with the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. The C919 has a capacity of 158 to 174 seats depending on configuration and a range of up to 5,555 kilometres. It is powered by two CFM International LEAP-1C engines, which are designed to be more fuel efficient. The first C919 prototype was completed in 2015 and the first flight took place in 2017. Since then, several other prototypes have been developed and tested. Commercial operation of the C919 has not yet commenced and the planned launch date continues to be delayed.
