The A-18G Growler is a modern combat aircraft that was developed by Boeing for the United States Navy. It is a version of the F/A-18F Super Hornet that has been adapted for electronic warfare operations. The EA-18G's primary mission is to disrupt and destroy enemy communications networks, radars, and other electronic devices. The aircraft is equipped with advanced systems for electronic jamming and sending false signals that can wreak havoc on air defense control. The EA-18G is also capable of conducting conventional attacks on ground targets using a variety of cruise missiles and bombs. The aircraft was first deployed in 2010 during operations in Afghanistan and was later used in Iraq and Syria. The EA-18G has become an important element of the modern naval electronic warfare squadron and will be in service with the United States Navy for many years to come.
