The EA-6B Prowler was an American combat aircraft developed by the Grumman Corporation for the United States Naval Air Forces. The main purpose of this aircraft was to create electronic jamming and protection from enemy radar radiation. The EA-6B was equipped with an advanced radar detection and jamming system and could also be armed with cruise missiles to destroy targets on the ground. The aircraft was deployed in many conflicts, including the Gulf War and the Iraq War, where it played a key role in protecting coalition forces from enemy air defenses. The EA-6B was in service for over 40 years, and was replaced in 2019 by the more modern EA-18G Growler.
