The F-14 Tomcat was an airborne fighter aircraft produced by Grumman for the US Navy. It was armed with a six-barrel cannon and various types of missiles and cruise missiles. It was powered by two afterburning turbofan engines and had a top speed of Mach 2.34. The F-14 Tomcat became famous for the movie Top Gun and was deployed in several conflicts.
