The F9F Panther was an American airborne fighter aircraft that was produced in the 1950s. It was powered by a jet engine and armed with cannons and various types of missiles. The F9F Panther was the first US Navy jet aircraft deployed in combat. It achieved many aerial victories over enemy aircraft during the Korean War. In total, more than 1,300 F9F Panthers were produced in various versions, and only a few restored aircraft can be seen today in museums and private collections.
