Fokker
Fokker was a Dutch aeronautical company founded in 1912. The company specialized in the production of aircraft machines and later in the development and production of aircraft for civil and military purposes. Among the company's most successful products are the Fokker Dr.I and Fokker D.VII aircraft, which became famous during World War I. After the war, the company focused on civil air transport and began producing commercial aircraft. In the 1950s and 1960s, Fokker specialized in short and medium haul, producing successful aircraft such as the Fokker F27 Friendship and Fokker F28 Fellowship. In 1996, Fokker ran into trouble and eventually went bankrupt in 1997. In 2001, most of its operations were sold to Stork Aerospace and some of the brands were subsequently sold to GKN Aerospace.
