Ilyushin Il-62
The Ilyushin Il-62 is a four-engine jet aircraft that was developed by the Soviet Ilyushin design bureau in the 1960s. It was the first Soviet jet aircraft designed to carry passengers over long distances. The Il-62 was designed to carry up to 200 passengers over a distance of up to 10,000 km. The aircraft was powered by four Soloviev D-30K jet engines, which allowed it to reach speeds of up to 950 km/h. The Il-62 was a very successful civil transport aircraft in the Soviet Union and other Warsaw Pact countries. It was also exported to countries such as China, Cuba and East Germany.
