About the Ju-87 "Stuka":
The aircraft was designed as a two-seat dive bomber. First flying in 1935, it saw its baptism of fire a year later as part of the Condor Legion in the Spanish Civil War. It was armed with two 37 mm cannons and machine guns in the rear gun emplacement.
The aircraft was easy to recognize due to the "seagull" shape of the wings and the fixed undercarriage. In addition, the shape of the wings provided an important function - their shape made it easier to see the target.
