The Panzer VI Ausf.B Tiger II was a heavy tank of the German Army during World War II. It had armour up to 150 mm thick, and was armed with an 88 mm calibre cannon and two 7.92 mm calibre machine guns. It was powered by a 700 hp Maybach HL 230 engine, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 41 km/h. The Tiger II had a crew of five and was deployed in a number of battles, including the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of Berlin. In total, some 492 Tiger II tanks of various versions were produced. It had high firepower but several shortcomings, such as low reliability and high fuel consumption.
