About the Aero L-29 Dolphin:
The first flight of the L-29 Delfín took place on April 5, 1959. It was the first jet aircraft designed and manufactured in Czechoslovakia. During the eleven years of production, approx. 3500 pieces. It is not without interest that the machine was operated in more than 25 countries both for military training and for civilian flights. Among the users we can find, for example, the USSR, Romania, Hungary, Iraq, Egypt, but also exotic Vietnam, Ghana or South Africa. The Egyptian Air Force used the machine during the Yom Kippur War to destroy Israeli tanks.
