About M16 Half Track:
The M16 Half Track was a transport vehicle used during World War II and the Korean War. It was developed by the Autocar Company and had rear-wheel drive and front-wheel drive for easy movement in the field. The vehicle was equipped with an M2 machine gun and an M3 anti-aircraft gun. The M16 Half Track served as a troop, ammunition, weapons and ambulance transporter for the rapid evacuation of wounded soldiers. It weighed 9 tons, was 6.25 meters long and was powered by a 148 hp gasoline engine. Approximately 13,500 were produced and some were sold abroad after the war and used in other conflicts. Today, M16 Half Tracks are collector's pieces used for historical reenactments.
