About M8/M20 Greyhound:
The M8/M20 Greyhound was an American armored reconnaissance vehicle used during and after World War II. The vehicle had a top speed of 90 km/h (90 mph), was armed with a 37mm cannon and machine gun, and used armored canvas instead of steel armor. The M8/M20 Greyhound became popular for its speed and agility, however it had inadequate protection for the crew from missiles and shrapnel. It was used in Europe, Africa, the Pacific and after the war in many countries including the USA, UK and France. It was replaced by the more modern M8A1 and appeared in several films, including "The Big Red One" (1980), "The Devil's Brigade" (1968) and "Band of Brothers" (2001).
