The Messerschmitt Bf-110 was a German fighter bomber designed in 1930. It was equipped with two Daimler-Benz DB 601 engines and had excellent performance. The Bf-110 became famous during the German invasion of Poland, France and the Netherlands, when it was deployed as a fighter bomber. However, later in the war it proved to be a slow and vulnerable machine when faced with more modern fighters. It was also deployed as a night fighter and fought against British bombers. Over 6,000 Bf-110s were built during the war, with some models fitted with radar equipment.
