About Messerschmitt Bf-110:
The aircraft flew in 1936 and was designed from the start as a twin-engined heavy fighter. It was very fast for its time, but not very agile, which later proved to be its great weakness. It had a very powerful armament consisting of 30 mm guns and movable machine guns in the rear gunnery.
The Bf 110G type was developed after it became clear that its successor, the Me-210, would not be a very successful aircraft. The main difference from the F version was the fitting of more powerful engines, which allowed it to carry a larger armament load. The Bf 110G was deployed in Russia in 1943. Due to the poor situation, it eventually acted as a combat aircraft, attacking Russian ground forces and tanks in an attempt to slow their advance.
It gradually found its greatest use as a night fighter - the incorporation of on-board radars made it a truly dangerous opponent for the bomber.
