Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 is a Soviet and Russian single-seat supersonic fighter aircraft, developed in the 1970s. The aircraft was designed to provide air superiority and attacks on ground targets. The MiG-29 is equipped with two afterburning engines, which allow it to reach speeds of up to 2,450 km/h (approximately Mach 2.3) and reach altitudes of up to 18 kilometers. The aircraft is also equipped with modern electronic systems, including a radar that allows it to detect targets at long distances and with high accuracy. The MiG-29 has been deployed in several conflicts, including the war in Afghanistan and the 1999 India-Pakistan conflict. The aircraft is still in active service with the Russian Air Force and many other countries, including India, Poland, Hungary, and others. Currently, work is underway to modernize the MiG-29 to be able to carry modern electronics and weapons systems. The modernized versions are designated the MiG-29M and MiG-29SMT.
