P-38 Lightning
was an American twin-engine fighter aircraft with a speed of up to 660 km/h, armed with four machine guns and up to 2,722 kg bombs. It was used in the Pacific, Europe and Africa and 10,037 were produced, several of which are still in service and on display at air shows and museums.
