About Panzer III - Sd.Kfz. 141:
The Panzer III - Sd.Kfz. 141 was a German medium tank used during World War II. Designed as the main medium tank for the German Army, it was intended to support the lighter Panzer I and II and serve as an anti-tank weapon. The original version of the tank had 15 mm armour and was equipped with a 50 mm cannon and two 7.92 mm machine guns. During the war, the tank was upgraded and improved, and some versions had armour up to 70 mm thick and a new 300 hp Maybach HL 120 diesel engine. The tank's crew consisted of five men - commander, gunner, loader, driver and radio operator. The Panzer III was deployed in a number of battles, including the Battle of Kursk and the Battle of Stalingrad, and a total of about 5,774 Panzer III tanks of various versions were produced.
