The Sukhoi Su-33 is a Russian airborne fighter aircraft designed for carrier operations. It was developed as a replacement for the Su-27K and was first introduced to the public in 1995. The Su-33 is equipped with similar equipment to the Su-27, but has many modifications that are specifically designed for operation from aircraft carriers. The aircraft has a length of approximately 21.5 metres, a wingspan of 14.7 metres and a maximum take-off weight of 33,000 kg. The Su-33 is powered by two Type Lyulka AL-31F engines with a thrust of 122.6 kN each. It has a maximum speed of up to 2,125 km/h and a range of approximately 3,000 km.
