The Shenyang J-15, also known as the Flying Shark, is a Chinese deck-based fighter aircraft that was developed for operations from aircraft carriers of the Chinese Navy. The aircraft was first introduced to the public in 2012 and is derived from the Russian Su-33 aircraft. The J-15 has a length of 22.3 meters and a wingspan of 14.7 meters. The maximum take-off weight of the aircraft is approximately 33,000 kg. The aircraft is powered by two WS-10A engines with a thrust of 13 500 kg each. It has a maximum speed of approximately 2 400 km/h and a range of up to 3 500 km.
