Sukhoi Su-35
The Sukhoi Su-35 is a Russian 4th generation multirole fighter aircraft, which is a modernized version of the Su-27. It was developed as part of the Russian Air Force modernization program and first flew in 2008. The Su-35 is powered by a pair of Saturn AL-41F1S engines, which allow it to reach a top speed in excess of 2,500 km/h. The aircraft is equipped with advanced sensor systems and avionics, including an Active Electronic Stage Awareness (AESA) radar, allowing it to detect and track targets at long range. The Su-35 has high manoeuvrability and the ability to make quick turns, which are particularly useful in combat operations. The aircraft can carry a wide range of different weapons, including air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles, as well as strafing bombs and missile systems. The Su-35 is also equipped with systems for evading missiles and other projectiles, including electronic countermeasures and thermal traps. The aircraft also has excellent cockpit visibility thanks to large multi-purpose displays and advanced fire control systems. The Su-35 is considered one of the most powerful 4th generation fighter aircraft in the world and is often compared to the US F-15E and F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircraft. The aircraft is still in service with the Russian Air Force and has also been exported to several other countries, including China and India.
