Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100)
The Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) is a Russian short- and medium-range transport aircraft developed by the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company. It was designed as a modern alternative for aircraft of this class in Russia and abroad. The aircraft has a capacity of 87 to 108 passengers and a range of up to 4,578 km. The SSJ100 was first introduced in 2008 and over the following years became a popular aircraft for some airlines in Russia and abroad. Some companies complained about the high maintenance costs and lack of reliability, which led to several accidents and restrictions on the aircraft's operations in some regions. Currently, the SSJ100 is trying to regain market confidence and improve its reputation. New versions of the aircraft have been proposed, including the SSJ75 with a smaller capacity and the SSJ100LR with a longer range.
