Tupolev 154
The Tupolev 154 was a Soviet transport aircraft that was built in the 1960s as a competitor to Western aircraft of the time, such as the Boeing 727 or Douglas DC-9. The aircraft was designed as a three-engine jet that could carry up to 180 passengers over distances of up to 5,000 km. The Tupolev 154 was a very popular aircraft in the countries of the former Soviet Union and also in some other Eastern Bloc countries. It was produced from 1968 until 2013, when production was completely stopped. During this time, over 1,000 units of this aircraft were produced.
